Lessons
At Dogwood Stables, we teach a secure-seat style of
riding which encourages balance.  Our lesson
horses and ponies are well trained and offer
excellent learning opportunities for our students.  
We also strive to teach our students about the
horse and how to care for a horse so some lessons
are “in the barn” rather than mounted.  Along with
the riding lessons, this promotes self-confidence
and respect for themselves and others which is
reflected in their daily lives.

While both private and group lessons are available,
group lessons are kept small (no more than 4 at a
time), in order to insure that each student receives
as much personal attention as possible.
